Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba reportedly met with Juventus Vice-President Pavel Nedved to discuss a potential transfer. The Bianconeri are keen to bring the 29-year-old back to Turin this summer when he will be available as a free agent, but face competition from Real Madrid and PSG.
According to Tuttosport, there are still obstacles to overcome regarding the transfers, but Juve are in a hurry to complete the deal.
The first is Zinedine Zidane’s potential appointment to PSG, which could convince Pogba to make the move to Ligue 1.
It’s reported Nedved spoke with Pogba over the phone on a number of occasions, but he was then spotted in the company of the midfielder. It’s reported that the face-to-face meeting was an effort to convince Pogba that he would be at the centre of the new Juve project and while the Frenchman is convinced, he has not get given the green light to the move.
Despite this, the Bianconeri are still confident of the getting the move completed and may be buoyed by the latest reports that Zidane will not take the PSG role this season.
