Pedulla: Koopmeiners agrees personal terms with Juventus

Sportitalia journalist Teun Koopmeiners has reportedly reached a personal agreement with Juventus, solidifying his position as the Bianconeri’s top transfer target this summer.

According to the journalist, the Dutch midfielder has been Juve’s primary midfield target since the turn of the year, and has expressed his full commitment to joining the Bianconeri.Pedulla writes that the two parties have reached an agreement in principle, with Koopmeiners’ expressing his desire to stay in Italy, which has played a significant role in his decision to join Juve.

The midfielder has prioritized a move to the Bianconeri, making them his preferred destination and the club determined to finalize the deal, with Koopmeiners remaining their top priority. Discussions have centered around potential counterparts in the deal, with Matías Soulé and Dean Huijsen mentioned as possible options.

Given Giorgio Scalvini’s recent injury, Atalanta’s need for a center-back could make Huijsen a more likely counterpart compared to Soulé, who has attracted interest from foreign clubs.

Atalanta has valued Koopmeiners at around €55 million and Juve are prepared to meet this valuation, albeit with players possibly included in the exchange.
