Pirlo: ‘Juventus are on track for the Champions League’

Start

Former Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo says he hasn’t kept up to date with the Bianconeri, but they look on course for Champions League qualification. The Bianconeri have managed just one win in their last nine matches, with some suggesting that they may not make the top four.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia (via TuttoSport), Pirlo offered a brief assessment of Juve’s situation:

“I haven’t been following them closely, but the objective is to return to the Champions League, and at the moment, they are on track.” The former Juventus midfielder continued by analyzing the reasons for the team’s downturn.

Pirlo noted, “After failing to achieve the Scudetto objective, it seems that the tension has dropped a bit, and there have been several absences that have affected the team.” Concluding his remarks, he commented on the coach, saying, “Allegri has the experience to overcome these situations.”
