Pirlo linked with Turkish Süper Lig club

Former Juventus and Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo has been heavily linked to a coaching role at Turkish Süper Lig side Fatih Karagümrük. The 43-year-old was in charge of Juventus until he was sacked in 2021, despite winning two trophies with the club.

The Italy legend had been linked with a number of vacant coaching roles in Serie A and B, but journalist Alfredo Pedulla reports that Pirlo’s immediate future lies in Turkey with Istanbul-based Fatih Karagümrük

According to the report, Pirlo has already agreed terms on a contract with the clubs management and an official announcement is expected soon.

Karagümrük finished the 2021-22 season in eighth place in the league table with 57 points.
