Paul Pogba’s agent says the French midfielder never meant to break any rules following his positive doping test. Reports in Italy yesterday confirmed that Pogba had tested positive for trace amounts of testosterone following Juve’s victory over Udinese on August 20th.
If the results are confirmed, the midfielder risks being suspended from football for anything up to four years.
Speaking with RMC Sport, his agent Rafaela Pimenta offered a brief response:
“We are awaiting the counter-analysis and we can’t have an opinion before the results. What is certain is that Paul Pogba never meant to break a rule.”
It’s the latest in a long line of incidents for the Frenchman who was the victim of an alleged extortion plot by his brother, shortly before suffering a season-ending injury in June 2022.
