Poland World Cup 2022 squad stacked with Serie A players

With Poland officially releasing their World Cup 2022 squad, it has been revealed that Serie A players have dominated the list.

A total of eleven players within the Serie A were selected to take part of Poland’s 26-man roster.

These include Bartlomiej Dragowski of Spezia, Bologna’s Lukasz Skorupski and Wojciech Szczesny at Juventus as all three goalkeepers.

In addition, Sampdoria’s Bartosz Bereszynski, Benevento veteran Kamil Glik, Spezia’s Jakub Kiwior and Roma full-back Nicola Zalewski establish the back-line.

Furthermore Napoli star Piotr Zielinski and Fiorentina’s Szymon Zurkowski represent the Italian league within the central park of the pitch.

Arkadiusz Milik plays for Juventus and Krzysztof Piatek at Salernitana are within the front-line of the squad.

Goalkeepers: Dragowski, Skorupski, Szczesny

Defenders: Bednarek, Bereszynski, Cash, Glik, Gumny, Jedrzejczyk, Kiwior, Wieteska, Zalewski

Midfielders: Bielik, Frankowski, Grosicki, J Kaminski, Krychowiak, Skoras, D Szymanski, S Szymanski, Zielinski, Zurkowski

Strikers: Lewandowski, Milik, Piatek, Swiderski
