Rafael Leao: ‘I want to stay at Milan’

Milan striker Rafael Leao has confirmed that he wants to remain at Milan for the foreseeable future. The 22-year-old is currently in talks with the club over a contract extension which will be announced soon.

Speaking to DAZN in an interview that will be broadcast on 3 March, the Portuguese forward said:

“I want to stay at Milan and make history here. I want my name written in the Milan museum one day.”

Transfer journalist Nicolo Schira reports that talks between Leao and Milan are in the final stages. He will agree an extension to his existing deal until 2026. He’ll earn a reported €4.5 million a year plus bonuses and the Rossoneri are confident of closing the deal in the coming weeks.
