Rafael Leao was forced to come off during Milan’s 2-0 win over Lazio yesterday but assured supporters he is fine. There was serious concern when the winger was taken off after just 11 minutes on the pitch, limping off to the sidelines in clear discomfort.
The Rossoneri face off against Inter in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals next week, so there were obvious concerns from the club and supporters alike over the fitness of a key player.
According to SportMediaset, Leao confirmed he is ok and there’s nothing to worry about when leaving the San Siro yesterday, telling fans: “I’m fine, nothing serious”.
Leao is on course to have his best season in Milan, having scored 13 goals in 44 appearances, just one shy of his 14 goal tally in the 2021-22 campaign.
