Sky Sport Italia claim Rafael Leao’s ‘will’ is to remain at Milan as talks over a new contract continue between the two parties. The Portuguese winger still has a year left on his existing deal with the Rossoneri but his stock has risen over the last season, attracting the attention of Chelsea, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that there is ‘increased confidence’ that a deal can be agreed as the Rossoneri are now offering Leao €7m per season, along with help to pay off the outstanding €21m that he owes to Sporting CP.
The report also suggests that the ‘will’ of the player is to remain in Milan and agree a new deal that is expected to tie him to the club until at least 2026/27.
In addition to the renewal of the Portuguese winger, there is also an positive news regarding the renewals of Ismael Bennacer and Olivier Giroud who are both expected to extend their contracts in January.
