Raspadori dreaming of move to Juventus

Sassuolo forward Giacomo Raspadori is dreaming of a move to Juventus or another big club while Sergio Aguero, Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez are his role models. The youngster has had a defining season with the Neroverdi and is likely to move on this summer, being linked with a host of teams across Europe.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Raspadori shared his aims for the future and was asked if it was good to be linked to Juventus:

“Absolutely, I can’t deny that it’s nice to be linked to Juventus or other big clubs. That’s my aim and if I manage to do so, it will be thanks to Sassuolo, who have helped me grow in every aspect.

Dybala? It is a source of pride to be compared to Paulo and think of me as his heir. He has incredible qualities. I grew up as a centre forward and I still like to play as the 9, but in this role I am at the centre of the game. The link up play is something we have in common. He is really good behind a striker, and I feel at ease in the same position. I have fun.

Swapping shirts with Dybala? I already have his jersey, along with those of Ronaldo and Chiellini.

Do the Juventus players joke with me in the national team? Yes, but I won’t say which ones! I try to learn from them and in Coverciano I go to the gym early, but Giorgio and Leo are always there before me: you understand why they got to the top.

Sassuolo? I try to do everything in an appropriate way and remain myself, that’s how I can face every situation.

I have confidence in myself thanks to Sassuolo. I think about having fun and using all the energy I have on the pitch. I am a silent leader. I transmit energy to my teammates and I never give up. It’s just the beginning of the journey, that’s why I need balance.

Role models? Aguero, Tevez, Rooney, strikers who run and have Grinta (Garra). It’s crucial because it helps you to go beyond your limits.

Serie A obsessive.
