Italy striker Giacomo Raspadori says he and his teammates have absolute trust in new coach Luciano Spalletti. The Azzurri were 2-1 winners over Ukraine thanks for a Davide Frattesi brace that propels them up to second in their EURO 2024 qualifying group.
Speaking with Sky Sport Italia after the match, Raspadori explained the different in approach between him and teammate Ciro Immobile and why they all have trust in the new coach:
“As for my characteristics, I’m different from Ciro , but it’s the position where I feel best. I’m happy to have helped the team and to have won this match.”
“Spalletti? There is maximum trust in him, he chose his players. In the days he had available he tried with passion and desire to convey what he thinks. We managed to do things in the best possible way.”
“The coaches I’ve worked under? They are all great coaches and for a young boy like me it is lucky to have them, given that you carry important baggage with you. Playing at San Siro gives you strong emotions.”
