RB Salzburg defender Oumar Solet has reportedly been offered to Napoli in the January transfer window, but the club are yet to be convinced. Reports from French media suggested that an agreement had already been reached between the two clubs, with Napoli still in the market for a new centre-back.
The Partenopei have struggled in defence, with summer signing Natan having struggled to adapt to Serie A, leaving them in need of at least one new defender.
Sky Sport Italia now report that Napoli are continuing to move in the market to find the right profile in defence, and have evaluated ‘many names’ in recent weeks.
Solet is reportedly one of these names and has been proposed to the club, but Sky claim that ‘the name of the Salzburg defender does not seem to convince Napoli because of the many injuries.’
Should Napoli decide to make the transfer, Sky suggest that it would most likely be a loan move to begin with.
