Roma have stepped up their pursuit of Enzo Le Fee by submitting an improved offer to Rennes, but the French club has yet to accept the proposal. The Giallorossi have identified Le Fee as the ideal midfield reinforcement for Daniele De Rossi’s squad ahead of next season and continue to work on bringing the player to Rome.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports how after their initial official offer was rejected by Rennes in recent days, Roma have come back with an increased bid in an attempt to secure Le Fee’s services.
Roma’s latest proposal for the 24-year-old midfielder, who is highly rated by the club’s new technical director Ghisolfi, amounts to €20 million including bonuses.
Despite the parties moving closer, Rennes has not yet accepted Roma’s offer. However, negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing, with Roma increasingly determined to bring Le Fee to Italy.
Le Fee made 35 appearances last season across all competitions, providing 5 assists but failing to score. He joined Rennes from Lorient just last summer for a fee of €20 million.
Roma have now matched that figure with their latest bid, including bonuses. However, it seems Rennes is holding out for a higher amount to part ways with the talented midfielder.
