Roma inquire about Houssem Aouar

Roma have enquired about the availability of Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar as they look to reinforce their midfield in the upcoming transfer window. The Giallorossi have secured Europa League qualification for next season and are winners of the inaugural Europa Conference League, leading them secure new signings for the new season.

Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport confirmed the rumors from France regarding Roma’s interest in Aouar, suggesting that Roma General Manager Tiago Pinto has inquired about the 23-year-old’s availability in the summer.

The Frenchman has reportedly fallen out with Lyon and, given that his contract is set to expire next year, is on the market this summer.

Roma are also looking at Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi but it’s unclear if Aouar is an alternative to him, or if the club want to sign both.
