Roma manager Ivan Juric addressed the media ahead of his team’s Europa League match against Union Saint-Gilloise, discussing team selection and recent performances. Speaking to Sky Sport, Juric explained his decisions and outlook for the upcoming game.

Regarding Paulo Dybala’s availability, Juric stated, “We need to manage Dybala well. He made a great effort in Verona, today we need to win. We need positivity, we must try to win.”

The most notable talking point was the exclusion of Mats Hummels from the starting lineup. Juric clarified, “Hummels? It’s a technical choice. I’m fielding the team that has the best chance of winning. It’s not a rejection. It’s a technical choice for tonight.”

Reflecting on recent performances, Juric remained optimistic: “The last two games have been excellent. The performance was there. Every game is important, we want to grow in our play. Let’s see what happens.”

The Roma manager also touched on areas for improvement and the potential of his midfield pairing: “There’s work to be done on many aspects. The Kone-Le Fee partnership can become a great duo, young and fresh. They have a bright future ahead of them.”
