In a thrilling Serie A encounter, Bologna mounted an impressive comeback to draw 2-2 against Como, dampening the hosts’ celebrations at their newly renovated Stadio Sinigaglia. The match, which saw both teams seeking their first win of the season, provided plenty of drama and excitement for the spectators.

Como started brightly, taking an early lead in the 5th minute through an unfortunate Nicolò Casale own goal, following good work from Patrick Cutrone. The home side doubled their advantage in the 53rd minute when Cutrone showcased his skill, beating the offside trap and curling a beautiful finish past the Bologna goalkeeper.

However, Bologna refused to give up and gradually fought their way back into the game. Their persistence paid off in the 77th minute when Santiago Castro capitalized on a deflected effort to pull one back for the visitors. The drama reached its peak in stoppage time as Samuel Iling-Junior produced a moment of magic, curling a left-footed shot into the far corner to level the scores.

The match was not without controversy, as a first-half penalty decision for Bologna was overturned by VAR, and technical issues with the system caused a significant delay in the second half. Despite Como’s best efforts to hold on, Bologna’s late surge ensured the points were shared in this enthralling encounter.

This result leaves both teams still searching for their first victory of the campaign, but Bologna will undoubtedly be the happier of the two sides, having salvaged a point from what seemed like a lost cause.
