The Court of Arbitration for Sport has reportedly ruled in favour of Rafael Leao in an ongoing dispute involving Sporting Lisbon. The 22-year-old left Lisbon in 2018 to join Lille, following an attack on the Portuguese clubs training ground by ultras.
La Gazzetta dello Sport now report how the court has informed FIFA that Lille owe Sporting CP €20m after the termination of his contract.
The resolution of the dispute will allow Leao’s contract with Milan to be renewed with an official announcement expected soon. The youngster is expected to sign a deal until 2026 with a new salary of €4.5m net.
Leao has scored 23 goals in 101 appearances for the Rossoneri over a three year stint with the club.
