Fikayo Tomori has expressed his desire to remain at AC Milan, despite recent transfer speculation linking him with a move away from the club. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the English defender, who had been the subject of transfer talks due to his limited playing time under former coach Paulo Fonseca, has communicated to Milan’s management his intention to stay and fight for his place under new manager Sergio Conceição.

While Tomori may have briefly considered a return to the Premier League or a move to Juventus, the coaching change at Milan has reinvigorated his commitment to the Rossoneri. The 27-year-old is eager to prove himself and regain a regular starting position in the team.

However, the situation remains fluid, and much will depend on how Conceição views Tomori in his plans. If the defender continues to find himself on the bench, he might reconsider his options before the transfer window closes on February 3rd.

Tomori’s decision to stay has been influenced by his strong bond with key players in the squad, including Mike Maignan, Rafael Leão, Theo Hernández, Davide Calabria, and Matteo Gabbia. These teammates have urged him to remain with the club during this challenging period in Serie A.

With Tomori likely to stay, Milan’s need for a new central defender has diminished, putting potential moves for Valencia’s Cristian Mosquera and Benfica’s António Silva on hold.

Meanwhile, Juventus, who had been keen on signing Tomori, may need to look elsewhere to bolster their defense. The Bianconeri are now focusing their attention on other targets, particularly David Hancko from Feyenoord, who has become a priority following the imminent departure of Danilo.

Juventus continue to monitor other options, including António Silva and Ronald Araújo, though both players seem difficult to acquire in the current window. As the transfer market develops, Juventus remains alert to any changes in Tomori’s situation, should his playing time at Milan not improve under the new management.
