Juventus rode their luck all the way to full-time, emerging with a slender 1-0 win against a Hellas Verona side that could have had two penalties.
Verona
Montipò: Only had one real shot to test him in the opening ’45. Got a hand to Kean’s goal but he was mis-footed by the deflection 5.5/10
Dawidowicz: Important defensive work early in the first half and had to score early in the second with just the finish needed from a set-piece. 6.0/10
Hien: Stuck to Milik and Kean like glue in the early part of the game. Had more to do in the second half and might have done better on the Juve goal. 6.0/10
Ceccherini: Decent shift in the opening ’45, stifling what little of the ball Kean and Milik had. 5.5/10
Terracciano: Whipped in some decent crosses when he ventured into the opposition half. 5.5/10
Hongla: Sat the deeper of the midfield duo and mopped up Juve attacks with relative ease. 6.0/10
Sulemana: Half decent effort, wide of Perin’s far post. Good energy and pressure in the midfield, smart runs. 6.0/10
Doig: Good sprints down the flanks, just lacking that final ball. 5.5/10
Lasagna: Smart run to draw the foul from Bonucci and a good effort to test Perin from range. 6.0/10
Kallon: Started so brightly, wicked cross to pick out Djuric and put in a promising shift with his pace. 5.5/10
Djuric: Frequently found the right positions and likely would have put Verona ahead, but for the Juve backline. 6.0/10
Substitutions:
Veloso: 5.0/10
Lazovic: 5.0/10
Verdi: 5.0/10

Juventus
Perin: One decent save to deny Lasagna from range, not tested too much thereafter. 6.0/10
Danilo: Good positioning to deny Djuric a certain goal and his overall play at the back was excellent. 6.5/10
Bremer: Excellent in the first ’45 mins, calm and collected, had one half chance from a set-piece that he might have done better with. 6.5/10
Bonucci: Good early clearance to cut out a key ball but a wayward tackle and an early booking didn’t help. Dreadful decision making on the high boot in the box that could have cost Juve dearly. 5.0/10
Cuadrado: Vital headed clearance to deny Djuric an easy chance and his overall defensive work was better than his attacking contribution. 6.0/10
Fagioli: Some clever little crosses to bring in teammates but didn’t really get a foothold in the game. 6.0/10
Locatelli: Quiet first 30 minutes before forcing a good save from Montipò. 5.5/10
Rabiot: Very quiet first half from the Frenchman who got better as the game progressed and put in some decent crosses. Great work to setup Kean for the opener. 6.5/10
Kostic: An anonymous first half where he did little on the ball. His touch let him down at moments in the second half. 6.0/10
Kean: Got into some good positions but was closely marked by a resolute Verona backline. Better movement in the second half and took the opener very well, even if it got a deflection 6.5/10
Milik: Very tough opening half as he saw precious little of the ball – more of the same in the second half but he got into the right positions. 5.5/10
Substitutions:
Paredes: N/A
Miretti: N/A
Di Maria: N/A
Sandro: DREADFUL. 1/10.
