Weah and Bastoni out of Derby D’Italia

Start

Both Timothy Weah and Alessandro Bastoni are out of this weekends Derby D’Italia between Juventus and Inter.  It’s first against second at the top of the table, with the Nerazzurri holding a two-point lead over their long-standing rivals.

Ahead of the game, Juventus have confirmed that Weah has suffered a muscular problem and will skip the match, with Sky Sport Italia suggesting the USMNT player could miss 20 days.

Bastoni is still recovering from a calf injury that he sustained while on international duty, but he’s expected to be out of action for a while longer. Calciomercato suggest that the young centre-back will miss both the Serie A match with Juve as well as Inter’s match against Benfica in the Champions League, with the hope being that he will recover for the visit of Napoli at the start of December.

Juve will be without Danilo, Paul Pogba and Mattia De Sciglio, while Inter are still missing long-term absentees Juan Cuadrado and Benjamin Pavard.
