Zaniolo to renew with Roma until 2027

Roma have given the green light to renew the contract of Nicolo Zaniolo until 2027 with an increase in the players salary. Talks between the two parties have reportedly been ongoing since the summer with the 23-year-old keen to extend his stay in the capital.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that an agreement is very close with Roma general manager Tiago Pinto and the agent of the footballer, Claudio Vigorelli, having met in Milan last week to discuss the new contract with another meeting expected this week.

Gazzetta suggest that the final approval will come down to the Friedkins who are expected in Rome on Thursday, although all indications on a renewal are positive.

Zaniolo is expected to agree a new salary of €4 million  a season with up to a further €1 million in performance and team related bonuses.
