Fiorentina midfielder Arthur Melo says he is focused on La Viola, but hasn’t forgotten his contract with Juventus. Melo is currently on loan in Florence and looks to have revitalised his career under coach Vincenzo Italiano.
Speaking with Calciomercato.com, Arthur talked about his relationship with his new coach, and the role he played in convincing him to make the switch to Fiorentina this summer:
“Right now my mind is focused on Fiorentina, but I don’t forget that I have a contract with Juventus, that I am their player and I have enormous respect for them.
“I have always had a good relationship with them, but my commitment is to do well this season and we will see what happens.”
“The truth is that I said yes to moving to Fiorentina after talking with the coach. At that moment I understood that I had to come here, to Fiorentina.
“The conversation I had with him, what he told me. I had already seen Fiorentina’s matches last season, how they played…. I made a good choice.”
