Juventus Enquire Over Possible Move For Nicolas Jackson As Chelsea Star Falls Out Of Favor Under Enzo Maresca

Start

Juventus are reportedly preparing a bid for Chelsea striker, Nicolas Jackson, as the Senegalese star continues to be linked with a move away from London.

Do Chelsea Want To Sell Nicolas Jackson?

The Blues have left Nicolas Jackson’s future in doubt with their transfer business this summer, as Enzo Maresca added Liam Delap to his roster following the striker’s impressive 2024/25 campaign with Ipswich.

Delap’s addition means the number nine spot is now up for grabs between the former Ipswich star and Nicolas Jackson, which could see the Senegalese player move on this summer.

Jackson did not help his case in Chelsea’s Club World Cup clash against Flamengo, as the 24-year-old was sent off just four minutes after coming on as a substitute.

This was Jackson’s second red card in four appearances for the Blues, being dismissed against Newcastle and he will miss the opening Premier League encounter next season.

Chelsea, who are one of the favorites to win the Club World Cup on the best betting apps,  will face Benfica in the next round after progressing through the group stages and Jackson will be available once again.

Maresca spoke about Jackson’s disciplinary issues and claimed it will not impact his future at the club, but highlighted how the dynamic striker needs to address the problem.

Maresca said: “No, the red card has nothing to do with Nico’s future and he knows very well that in both situations it was not something good for the team.”

Will Juventus Make A Move For Nicolas Jackson?

Juventus are currently in the market for a new talisman as they look to offload Dusan Vlahovic this summer and the Italian side have reportedly turned their attention to Nicolas Jackson.

The Chelsea striker has scored 24 Premier League goals in 65 appearances across two seasons and has provided five assists in both of his campaigns.

The Old Lady are also interested in making Randal Kolo Muani’s deal in Turin permanent after a successful loan spell last season, but Juve will face competition from Chelsea and Tottenham for the PSG star.

Kolo Muani’s decision in this summer transfer window will play a big part in any deal involving Nicolas Jackson, as the Frenchman would push the Senegalese international down the pecking order.

Jackson still has eight-years remaining on his current deal after Chelsea’s unique contract negotiations and this means that any potential bid will need to be in the region of $65 million.
