Tottenham Hotspur Prepare Late Bid For Juventus Star After Eberechi Eze Closes In On Arsenal Move

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a late move for Kenan Yildiz as long-time target, Eberechi Eze, nears a move to Arsenal.

Why Did Eberechi Eze Choose Arsenal?

The transfer saga surrounding Eberechi Eze took a major turn on August 20th, as the Crystal Palace star appeared to be on his way to Tottenham – but the deal completely turned on its head.

Arsenal, Spurs’ fiercest rivals, hijacked the agreement between Eze and Tottenham, offering a complete package of $65m, which includes some simple add-ons.

The Eagles, who have been negotiating with Tottenham for multiple weeks, accepted the Gunners’ offer and Eze is said to prefer a move to the Emirates after playing for the Arsenal academy.

Thomas Frank’s side are in desperate need of a player that possesses Eze’s qualities, as James Maddison has been ruled out for the majority of this season following an ACL injury.

Losing out to your main target would be a bitter pill to swallow, but suffering this fate due to the player preferring your biggest rivals will rub further salt into Spurs’ wounds.

Now, the Lilywhites are scrambling to find a last-minute alternative and have been linked with multiple names across Europe – but face tough negotiations as the window ends in just a matter of days.

Juventus star, Kenan Yildiz, is the latest player to be linked with a move to north London, as the Turkish international continues to impress in Serie A.

A host of Juve players have been rumored with a summer exit, as Al Ahli are willing to increase their initial offer for Manuel Locatelli and Douglas Luiz is set to complete a medical to join Nottingham Forest.

This means that Igor Tudor may not be willing to sacrifice any more of his star players, unless the Old Lady can find suitable replacements in the limited time remaining.

Will Juventus Sell Kenan Yildiz?

The Turkish star joined Juventus in July 2022, entering the ‘Next Gen’ youth setup in Turin, before making his way into the first-team in November 2o23.

Since then, Yildiz has made 84 appearances for the Italian side and contributed to 27 goals (16G + 11A), becoming a vital member in Juventus’ front-line.

Igor Tudor is said to be a huge fan of the 20-year-old and is planning on building a future around the Turkish international, which begins in the 2025/26 season.

Juve’s team appears to be settled going into their league opener against Parma, but are one of the three Serie A sides that have been offered the chance to sign Adrien Rabiot.

Although re-signing Rabiot would be a strong addition to Juventus’ overall depth, the Frenchman is not a direct replacement for Yildiz and would come in as a replacement for Douglas Luiz.

Kenan Yildiz has four-years remaining on his current deal in Turin, meaning Juventus are in no rush to sell their star man and any offer from Tottenham would need to exceed $55m.
