The UCL Team of the Week has been revealed for MD2 which includes stars from Inter Milan and Juventus.

On Tuesday, Inter brushed aside Slavia Prague 3-0 at the San Siro. Lautaro Martinez helped himself to a brace with Denzel Dumfries also getting on the scoresheet.

24 hours later, Juve earned a point after an entertaining 2-2 draw with Villarreal. Georges Mikautadze gave the LaLiga side an early lead before Federico Gatti and Francisco Conceicao hit back for the Bianconeri.

A 90th minute equalizer from Renato Veiga ensured a share of the spoils at the Estadi de la Ceràmica. Italy’s other representatives – Atalanta and Napoli – recorded victories but didn’t have any entries into the Team of the Week.

UCL Team of the Week MD2

The UCL Team of the Week saw two Serie A stars earn their place in Sofascore Football’s select XI. After his efforts and subsequent clean sheet against Slavia Prague, Alessandro Bastoni was picked on the left side of a three-man defence.

The Inter center-back earned a score of 8.8/10. Bastoni has now earned two shut outs from two appearances in 2025-26 and even chipped in with an assist for Lautaro Martinez’s second goal against Slavia.

Meanwhile, Juventus defender Federico Gatti also earned his spot after a fine display against Villarreal. The Azzurri international scored Juve’s equalizer in the eventual draw.

Sofascore Football gave the 27-year-old a rating of 8.2/10. Gatti was positioned alongside Bastoni with Real Madrid’s Dean Huijsen completing the back three.

Juventus UCL Fixtures

Although the Juventus injury list is growing, the two-time UCL winners have earned two points from six so far in the new-look league phase.

The Old Lady fought back to earn a vital 4-4 draw against Dortmund on MD1 before their 2-2 stalemate with Villarreal on Wednesday night.

Up next for Igor Tudor’s side is a trip to Real Madrid on October 22. The Croat head coach will then welcome Sporting to the Allianz Arena on MD4.

The remaining away trips will see the Bianconeri play Bodo/Glimt and Monaco whereas they’ll face Pafos and Benfica on home soil.

Inter Milan UCL Fixtures

Inter have made a perfect start from their opening two matches. Last season’s runners-up beat Ajax 2-0 in Amsterdam before cruising past Slavia Prague 3-0 on Tuesday.

Their next opponents will be Belgian outfit Royale Union. The Nerazzurri will then welcome Kairat to the San Siro in early November.

Cristian Chivu’s men will have their credentials severely tested as they face away trips to Atletico Madrid and Dortmund before facing home games against English Premier League heavyweights Arsenal and Liverpool.
