Who Are The Confirmed Referees For Serie A Matchday 11?

Friday 7th November

Pisa vs Cremonese – Matteo Marcenaro

Matchday 11 in Serie A begins with a Friday evening clash on November 7th, as two newly-promoted sides go head-to-head with Pisa playing host to Cremonese.

Taking charge of the match will be Italian referee, Matteo Marcenaro, who has been the lead official in four Serie A matches this season – most recently during Como’s 3-1 win over Hellas Verona in MD9.

The 32-year-old has been quite prolific with his bookings this season, as Marcenaro has handed out 16 yellow cards and one red card in Italy’s top division.

His only dismissal of the season came on the opening week of the season during Juventus’ 2-0 win over Parma, as the Italian referee sent off Andrea Cambiaso for violent conduct.

Overall, Marcenaro has officiated 10 matches across all competitions this season, dishing out 36 yellow cards, two red cards and just a singluar penalty.

Saturday 8th November

Como vs Cagliari – Ivano Pezzuto

Saturday’s Serie A action begins with a clash between Como and Cagliari, as Cesc Fabrgeas looks to extend his undefeated streak in Serie A to nine matches.

Recently, Como have made headlines by using twitter to hire a new first team scout, but the focus will be diverted back onto the pitch against Cagliari.

The selected match official is Ivano Pezzuto, who will take charge of his first match in Serie A this season after spending the early stages of the campaign in the Italian second division.

After four matches in Serie B, the 41-year-old has handed out 17 yellow cards and one red card, with the latter being awarded to Frosinone star, Giorgi Kvernadze, for a poor challenge in his sides’ 3-1 win over Cesena on September 30th.

Despite a lack of action in Serie A this season, Pezzuto has officiated a match between two top-flight teams, handing out four yellow cards and a red card in Torino’s 1-0 win over Pisa in Coppa Italia.

Lecce vs Hellas Verona – Rosario Abisso

Rosario Abisso has been handed the task of controlling the Serie A clash between Lecce and Verona on November 8th, as the Italian takes charge of his fourth top-flight match this season.

The Italian referee’s most recent Serie A outing came in MD9, as Abisso handed out four-yellow cards during Cremonese’s 2-0 away win over Genoa.

Abisso’s most notable refereeing display of the season came in Serie B on September 20th, as the 39-year-old handed out three yellow cards, two red cards and a penalty.

Overall, Abisso has brought out nine yellow cards and one red card in Serie A this season, which is likely to increase as Lecce have picked up 19 yellow cards and Hellas Verona have accumulated 24.

Juventus vs Torino – Luca Zufferli

Arguably the biggest challenge for a referee in MD11 of Serie A will be bestowed upon Luca Zufferli, as the Italian takes charge of Derby della Mole between Juventus and Torino.

The Turin-based sides saw a chaotic affair in their last Serie A encounter, as both managers received red cards and Torino accumulated four yellow cards.

Zufferli has officiated six Serie A matches this season, meaning he will be well equipped for a feisty affair and the 35-year-old has awarded a penalty in four of these fixtures.

So far, Zufferli has handed out 20 yellow cards in Serie A, handing out at least four in his last four appearances, but the Italian is yet to send a player off.

Luciano Spalletti will be looking for a performance after being held to a 1-1 draw by Sporting Lisbon, as Juventus continued their poor Champions League run.

Parma vs AC Milan – Marco Di Bello

Parma and AC Milan will close the show of Serie A action on November 8th, as the Rossoneri look to continue their strong start to the 2025/26 season.

Marco Di Bello will act as the lead official for this top-flight clash and the Italian has made quite the impact in just two Serie A appearances so far.

The 44-year-old handed out seven yellow cards and a red card in his first Serie A outing, as Como played-out a 1-1 stalemate with Cremonese, before dishing out five yellow cards and two penalties during Juventus’ 3-1 win over Udinese on MD9.

Sunday 9th November

Atalanta vs Sassuolo – Valerio Crezzini

Sunday’s Serie A action will be kick-off by Atalanta and Sassuolo, as La Dea look to build on their 1-0 win over Marseille in the Champions League.

This important victory was slightly marred by Ademola Lookman’s heated dispute with Ivan Juric after being substituted and the Nigerian has now reignited exit rumors.

Lookman’s place in the starting eleven is now uncertain, but one aspect that is certain is the chosen match official, as Valerio Crezzini will officiate his fifth Serie A match of the season.

During these four outings, Crezzini has handed out 11 yellow cards and a penalty, with the latter coming in Napoli’s 3-2 win over Pisa on Matchday Four.

Bologna vs Napoli – Daniele Chiffi 

One of the more lenient referees in Italy has been selected for Napoli’s trip to Bologna, as Daniele Chiffi has only awarded six yellow cards in four Serie A outings.

His latest fixture came in the previous matchday on November 1st, as Chiffi handed out just one yellow card in Juventus’ 2-1 win over Cremonse at Stadio Giovanni Zini.

The 40-year-old was also selected to officiate in Europe for the first time in the latest set of Europa Conference League matches, handing out four yellow cards and a penalty during Crystal Palace’s 3-1 triumph at home to AZ Alkmaar.

Genoa vs Fiorentina – Marco Guida

Next on the list we have a battle between Genoa and Fiorentina, as both sides sit in the bottom three of Serie A and have recently parted ways with their manager.

Genoa supporters will be excited to see how Daniele De Rossi sets up his side, while Fiorentina are still on the hunt for a new man to take the reins.

Taking charge of the match will be Marco Guida, as the Italian referee oversees his fifth game in Serie A and the previous four have been far from calm.

The 44-year-old has handed out 20 yellow cards in Italy’s top division, while awarding a penalty in three of these outings – taking his overall tally to four spot-kicks.

Roma vs Udinese – Giuseppe Collu

Giuseppe Collu ranks top of the charts for most Serie A appearances this season alongside Zufferli and the Italian will take this tally to seven, after being selected to officiate Roma vs Udinese.

The 35-year-old has not been shy in handing out yellow cards this season, awarding 27 yellow cards in six appearances, while handing out three penalties in his last four outings.

His most recent appearance came in MD9 of Serie A, as Collu handed out three yellow cards and a penalty during Napoli’s 1-0 away win over Lecce.

The chances of a red card being shown at Stadio Olimpico are unlikely, as neither Roma or Udinese have seen a dismissal this season and Collu is yet to hand a player their marching orders.

Inter Milan vs Lazio – Gianluca Manganiello

The final Serie A encounter of Matchday 11 will see Inter Milan welcome Lazio to San Siro and the Nerazzurri have been boosted after acquiring their iconic stadium.

Gianluca Manganiello will take charge of the clash between two Italian giants, as the 43-year-old takes charge of his fifth Serie A clash of the season.

The Italian has awarded 11 yellow cards in Italy’s elite division so far, but his most chaotic outing came in Serie B as Manganiello handed out a red card and a penalty during Bari’s 2-1 win over Padua.

Inter Milan have received 14 yellow cards in Serie A this season, a tally that is only bettered by Napoli (13) and Lazio are not far ahead with 15 – but the Lazilai have picked up two red cards.
