How Inter Milan Can Beat A Host Of Europe’s Elite To The Signature Of Karim Adeyemi

Inter Milan are set to join the race for Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi. 

Corriere dello Sport reports that Adeyemi is seriously considering his options and is seeking a new challenge. The German international is one of the most in-demand players across Europe’s top five leagues.

Adeyemi is being tracked by a number of elite sides and Inter are very much in the mix for his signature. However, how can the Nerazzurri ensure they win the race for the highly-rated forward?

What Can Inter Milan Offer Karim Adeyemi?

Although Inter Milan has a heavily stacked forward line, Karim Adeyemi would provide the Nerazzurri with a fresh and dynamic attacking outlet.

Adeyemi is an explosive player who offers an abundance of pace, experience and versatility. All of which Inter would want to utilize and take advantage of as much as possible.

In some ways, Adeyemi is similar to club captain Lautaro Martinez. The Argentine World Cup winner is the undoubted star in Cristian Chivu’s side and the head coach would encourage Adeyemi to follow suit.

Granted, the likes of Marcus Thuram, Pio Esposito and Ange-Yoan Bonny are already on board. However, Chivu would likely make Adeyemi a secondary striker alongside Martinez.

The Borussia Dortmund man has performed consistently at the highest level. Inter recognizes this and would allow Adeyemi to flourish in Italy.

Serie A itself provides the perfect platform for Adeyemi to thrive and continue improving. Especially under Chivu’s preferred 3-5-2 system which would see Adeyemi supported by Denzel Dumfries.

Although Adeyemi’s potential suitors may be able to offer more glitz and glamour, jumping on board the exciting Nerazzurri project has the potential to catapult Adeyemi into a world class star.

That has already proven the case with Martinez, Dumfries and Hakan Calhanoglu. The Italian game may not be as reputable as recent decades but it would suit Adeyemi’s style of play and he could definitely hit the dizzy heights he aims to achieve.

Would Inter Milan Need To Sell?

FC Inter News reports that the Nerazzurri have solid liquidity but there is club debt to consider. However, that is being strategically managed and are therefore not in a precarious financial situation.

Offloading star players and top earners is a consideration but affording Karim Adeyemi wouldn’t be a huge problem. Especially as a small net profit was posted in 2024-25 and overall revenue hit a record high for the same fiscal year.

Even though Galatasaray remain interested in Hakan Calhanoglu – a top earner and key player – Inter doesn’t need to consider selling him (or any other first-team regular) to accommodate Adeyemi.

Granted, offloading another squad member for a sizable fee would help but again, it is not a necessity. Moving on bit-part players as opposed to one asset would be the smartest option if that route was to be explored.

What Other Clubs Are Interested In Adeyemi?

Even though Inter can ensure Karim Adeyemi would become a vital cog in the Nerazzurri roster, they would need to present their project in a fashion that is more attractive to what other suitors could offer.

And the Serie A giants certainly have the means to do that. For example, Manchester United – who are willing to let Joshua Zirkzee leave to aid in Adeyemi’s arrival – already have a set forward line.

Of course, Inter does as well but Cristian Chivu will almost certainly offer more game time and ultimately, chances for Adeyemi to stake his claim as a regular starter.

Other teams tracking Adeyemi include Arsenal, Liverpool and Real Madrid. All of whom would only likely offer Adeyemi a bit-part role. Something of which he would want to avoid so his career does not stagnate.

Jorge Mendes Offers Karim Adeyemi To Inter Milan

According to SempreInter, soccer super agent Jorge Mendes has already offered Karim Adeyemi to the Nerazzurri. Although the Serie A giants aren’t plotting a bid at this stage, they are strongly monitoring developments.

Mendes has pinpointed Cristian Chivu’s side as a potential destination for Adeyemi to continue his development. The 23-year-old has his best years ahead of him and Mendes believes he can excel in Italy.

If Inter were to enter into negotiations with Dortmund, they would likely happen next year as the mid-way point of 2025-26 is very much on the horizon.

The Bundesliga side would hardly entertain offers in January but the fact Mendes has identified the Champions League runners-up highlights that both player and agent would be keen on getting a deal done in the future.

What Is Karim Adeyemi’s Market Value?

Karim Adeyemi is currently valued at €60million via TransferMarkt. His contract expires in 2027 so a deal for around that figure in the summer is feasible.

In fact, that figure could drop if Adeyemi publicly declares his plans to quit Signal Iduna Park. BVB certainly won’t want to lose him on a free transfer so a lesser fee could be very advantageous for Inter.

Whatever happens between now and the end of the season, the Nerazzurri must be ready to pounce. The Italians can offer a hugely exciting project and are best placed to make Adeyemi a Serie A star.
