The Rossoneri have put their foot down over the future of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, as the Serie A side look to fend off potential suitors this January.
Since signing for Milan in July 2023, Loftus-Cheek has become somewhat of a cult hero, making 85 appearances and winning the Supercoppa Italiana.
His position in the team came into question during the summer transfer window after Milan signed four players in the Brit’s preferred position – bringing in Luka Modric, Samuele Ricci, Adrien Rabiot and Ardon Jashari.
However, Allegri has still utilized the English international this season, making 17 appearances across all competitions and cementing his place in the Italian manager’s roster.
Milan have already shown their ruthless nature ahead of the January window after terminating Divock Origi’s contract, but the Rossoneri are looking to take a different approach over Loftus-Cheek.
The Serie A side spent €18.9million on RLC during the 2023 summer transfer window and are looking to make a substantial profit if the 29-year-old does move on.
According to reports, the Rossoneri are unwilling to consider any bids that do not exceed €30m and are even willing to offer Loftus-Cheek a new deal.
His contract with the Italian giants is set to expire in June 2027, meaning Milan do still have time to play with and are not at risk of losing the Englishman for free next year.
However, this hefty asking price has been implemented after rumors over interest from both Premier League and Turkish sides.
Premier League and Turkish Sides Monitor Loftus-Cheek
Despite setting a considerable price tag on Loftus-Cheek’s shoulders, Milan are happy to offload the Englishman due to their abundance of midfielders.
This has alerted some major European sides, including Turkish giants Besiktas who have an extra advantage through former AC Milan star Tammy Abraham.
The English striker has a strong relationship with RLC after their time together in Chelsea and Milan, which could be a major selling point for the Rossoneri midfielder.
Allegri has already started to add reinforcements to his roster this January, targeting another attacking threat after agreeing a deal with West Ham for German striker, Niclas Fullkrug.
Negotiating with a Premier League side could become a regular thing for Milan this January, as Loftus-Cheek has also attracted interest from English sides.
West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Sunderland are all huge admirers of the former Chelsea star and RLC is said to be keen on a move back to England before the end of his career.
These sides will be unwilling to match Milan’s price tag in the January window, but may return in the summer as the Brit’s fee is expected to drop significantly.
