In a post-match interview following Lazio’s narrow 1-0 victory over Monza, head coach Marco Baroni expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance and addressed the challenges of a demanding schedule. There is a group of guys who work with dedication. We are happy with the path we are taking, but we can still improve. Now many players are going to national teams, which is a reward for them but also for me and my staff. We have a few days to recover before important matches.”
Concluding his remarks, Baroni reflected on the evolving nature of football and the demands placed on coaches: “Football is evolving. We coaches cannot complain about too many matches; we must continue to move in this direction. The mental aspect counts more and more; the mind must drive the legs.
