Sassuolo sporting director Giovanni Carnevali confirmed that Davide Frattesi has received interest from a Premier League club. the young midfielder has often stated that his dream transfer would be a return to boyhood club Roma, but much will depend on the Giallorossi’s budget.
Speaking with Sky Sport Italia, Carnevali seemingly confirmed the midfielder would be sold, but hopes that an Italian club will come in for him yet:
“I have not spoken to him about which clubs could be interested. As of today, I am trying to understand what the best opportunity for Sassuolo is, and for the moment that is from a Premier League club.”
“It is premature to discuss it now, but we will all together try to figure out if there really will be an important proposal from one of these Italian clubs.”
