Dybala bids farewell to Roma: Saudi move Imminent

Start

Paulo Dybala’s time at Roma is coming to an end. The Argentine forward has said his goodbyes to teammates and fans at the Trigoria training centre, signalling that his decision to leave is final. This morning, the former Juventus number 10 was seen departing the training ground, exchanging farewells with supporters gathered outside.

Calciomercato report that Dybala has agreed to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Qadsiah, accepting a lucrative offer worth €75 million  over three years. The only remaining hurdle is the agreement between the two clubs, which are currently in negotiations to finalize the deal.

Initially, Al-Qadsiah was reluctant to meet Roma’s €18 million asking price, offering just €3 million plus bonuses. However, recent developments suggest a compromise is near. The latest reports indicate that Roma and the Saudi club are working towards a deal structured with a fixed fee of €6 million plus performance-related bonuses, potentially reaching a total between €10 and €12 million.

Roma’s motivation for the sale is twofold: to generate funds and to reduce their wage bill, as Dybala’s salary was set to increase to €9 million euros per year. The club is eager to conclude negotiations swiftly.

As it stands, Dybala’s 21-minute appearance against Cagliari looks to have been his final contribution in European football. After two years in the Italian capital, the Argentine star is poised for a new chapter in his career in Saudi Arabia.
