Galliani: ‘The best moment in Monza’s season was the win over Juventus’

Monza CEO Adriano Galliani spoke to Il Cittadino about his team’s season, saying the first win over Juventus was the best moment in the clubs history. The Biancorossi had two victories over Juve during the 2022-23 season after Raffaele Palladino took over as first team coach, and speaking with Cittadino di Monza e Brianza, Galliani explained the importance of beating the Old Lady and why Palladino has been so fundamental this season:

“Best moment in Monza’s history? The first victory with Juventus. I didn’t even see the goal, I was in the cathedral praying.

“It could also have been different. I had told Palladino that he could wait until the international break, and start coaching the team after that game. He replied, “Absolutely not,” and then beat Juve.”

“Could we have played in the Conference League? With ifs and buts you go nowhere. Then Juve without penalties would be in the Champions League and for me they have already paid enough. It’s useless to talk about it.”
