Genoa are targeting Juventus midfielder Fabio Miretti as they begin their summer transfer plans after finishing the season in 11th place. The Rossoblu are keen on bringing the Italian youth international to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in order to bolster their midfield options ahead of next season.
Renewals on the agenda
Sky Sport Italia report that Genoa are also considering extending the contracts of Vitinha and Djed Spence, both of whom joined the club in January. The pair impressed during the second half of the season, leading the club to consider keeping them on board for another year. However, the club is looking to negotiate reduced terms for both players.
Vitinha’s future
Vitinha, who joined from Braga in January, made 17 appearances for Genoa, scoring two goals and providing two assists. The Portuguese midfielder has been a key player for the Rossoblu and they are keen to keep him on board.
Spence’s impact
Spence, who arrived on loan from Tottenham Hotspur in January, made 13 appearances for Genoa, providing three assists. The English defender impressed with his attacking flair and defensive solidity, and the club are keen to sign him permanently.
Genoa’s transfer plans
In addition to Miretti, Spence, and Vitinha, Genoa are also reportedly interested in signing striker Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo and midfielder Nicolò Fagioli from Juventus.
