With Federico Chiesa’s contract set to expire in June 2025 and extension talks at a standstill, Juventus are looking to sell him this summer to avoid losing him for free next year. So far, Napoli, Newcastle, and Roma have shown interest, but the Italian forward, born in 1997, prefers to wait for an offer from a club competing in the Champions League.
According to Calciomercato, Inter Milan are also interested in Chiesa, however, their strategy involves waiting until the 2025/2026 season, hoping to sign him on a free transfer if he remains with Juventus and his contract expires.
Chiesa joined Juventus from Fiorentina in 2020 for €57.2 million. Over four seasons with the Bianconeri, he has scored 32 goals in 131 appearances and currently earns €5 million net per year. Despite the disappointment of Italy’s early exit from Euro 2024, Chiesa recently found joy in his personal life, marrying Lucia Bramani at the Duomo di San Lorenzo in Grosseto and celebrating at the Castello di Vicarello in Cinigiano, Maremma.
The talented winger’s situation at Juventus remains up in the air for now, with the player expected to join the Bianconeri for the remainder of their pre-season training and pre-season friendlies. Despite featuring with the club, there’s no indication that renewal talks will continue in the near future, making a departure this summer all the more likely.
