Federico Chiesa’s search for a new club continues as Juventus takes a hard stance on surplus players. The Italian winger, who was not included in yesterday’s in-house friendly at the Stadium, finds himself on the transfer market despite Juventus having paid around €60 million to Fiorentina for his services.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via IlBianconero) report that Chiesa’s agent, Fali Ramadani, is actively seeking an ideal destination for the 26-year-old, but interest from potential suitors seems limited. Initially proposed to Roma, the deal fell through after the capital club secured Matias Soulé.
Milan have emerged as a potential destination, with the Rossoneri in need of a player of Chiesa’s caliber. However, wage demands have become a stumbling block. Chiesa currently earns €5 million per season but is reportedly asking for at least €6 million from his new club, matching Rafael Leão’s salary at Milan.
Napoli and Lazio have made inquiries, but no concrete moves have materialized. Interest from foreign clubs also appears to be lacking at this stage.
With Chiesa’s contract set to expire in 2025, Juventus management is prepared to exclude him from the squad until the January transfer window if no suitable offer arrives. This tough stance underlines the club’s determination to resolve the situation, leaving Chiesa’s future hanging in the balance as the transfer window progresses.
