Juventus midfielder Teun Koopmeiners spoke to the press following the team’s victory against Genoa, sharing his thoughts on the match, his teammates’ performances, and the team’s tactical adjustments.
Koopmeiners began by discussing the team’s performance: “In the first half, we controlled the game but didn’t create many chances. The coach changed something in the second half, playing with a forward triangle, and this worked better. When we pushed, we earned a penalty, and then everything became easier.”
When asked about his assist to Vlahovic and a missed goal opportunity, Koopmeiners responded with humor: “Both (laughs). I’m very happy for the victory. He deserves the goal, he works hard for the team. He’s a very strong striker and lives for goals.”
Regarding his positioning alongside Vlahovic, the midfielder explained: “It depends on the game. We did better in the second half. I think it’s good when you have a team that can change a game like this.”
Koopmeiners emphasized the importance of scoring: “It was important. In the first half we didn’t have chances, but we wanted the goal.”
