Milan Plot Surprise Move For Man United Star Amad Diallo

Start

The latest Amad Diallo transfer news has revealed that Milan are plotting a surprise summer swoop for the Man United star.

Diallo’s future at Old Trafford is in doubt owing to United’s failure to qualify for Europe in 2025-26. Although Milan have also missed out on continental soccer, the Red Devils may need to sell the 22-year-old to help balance the books.

Ruben Amorim’s men have also identified two Serie A goalkeepers to replace Andre Onana this summer. The error-strewn keeper looks almost certain to leave the club.

Amad Diallo Transfer News

According to TeamTalk, the latest Amad Diallo transfer news has indicated that Milan are keeping tabs on the Man United winger.

Diallo has impressed at Old Trafford in what has been a hugely disappointing season for the English Premier League side.

From the Rossoneri’s perspective, they are willing to test United’s resolve as they look to boost their roster with attacking options for 2025-26.

How Much Did Amad Diallo Cost Man United?

Former Atalanta wonderkid Amad Diallo cost Man United €21.3 million – rising to €37m including bonuses in January 2021. He put pen to paper on a five-year deal.

Diallo would command a sizable transfer fee should he leave Old Trafford this summer. The 22-year-old still has five years to run on his current contract.

According to Transfermarkt, Diallo has a transfer value of exactly €40m. Although a potential sale would upset United supporters, their precarious financial position may mean they have no other option but to move him on.

What Is Amad Diallo’s Salary?

Amad Diallo’s current salary stands at €142,194 per week. That equates to € 7,394,086million annually, according to Capology.

This particular new deal was only signed by the player in January 2025. Therefore, making him the 12th-highest earner at Man United.

Interestingly, his pay packet is higher than anyone in Milan’s squad. Rafael Leao banks the most and takes home €123,269 on a weekly basis.

Will Amad Diallo Sign For Milan?

For those tracking the best Serie A betting sites, it’s worth keeping an eye on whether the odds shift for Amad Diallo to sign for Milan.

The Rossoneri announced Igli Tare as their new sporting director this week. However, Tare has a reputation for unearthing players whose transfer fees don’t break the bank.

Milan currently have very little to spend in the transfer window so Tare may oversee the sales of Rafael Leao, Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders to help generate funds to bring in Diallo.

Amad Diallo 2024-25 Stats

Although it’s unclear at this stage whether Amad Diallo would be open to a move to Milan, his 2024-25 stats make for very positive viewing.

In 26 Premier League appearances, Diallo scored eight goals and provided seven assists. Across all competitions, the Ivorian star finished up with a total of 11 goals and nine assists from 43 outings.

Those figures are hugely impressive considering Man United’s poor campaign. His pace, dribbling and finishing make him a very attractive option for the Rossoneri and a return to Serie A cannot be ruled out. Especially as United need to offload their most valuable assets to satisfy Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
