Premier League side Brentford are reportedly ahead of Ipswich in the race to sign Napoli midfielder Jens Cajuste. The Swedish international joined Napoli last summer but has struggled to make a significant impact, leading to speculation about his departure.

According to Gianluca di Marzio, Brentford are in advanced negotiations to bring Cajuste to the Premier League on an initial loan deal that includes an obligation to buy.

Cagliari and Parma had previously shown interest in Cajuste, with rumors suggesting they were in contention for his signature. However, it appears Brentford has emerged as the frontrunner.

During his time at Napoli, Cajuste played 26 matches in Serie A, totaling just over 1,000 minutes on the field. He also featured six times in the Champions League, having previously been a consistent performer at Reims, where he had established himself as a key player before his move to Italy.
