The latest Carlos Soler transfer news has revealed that Napoli have opened talks with the PSG midfielder.
Soler spent last season on loan at English Premier League side West Ham. However, the Spaniard struggled at the London Stadium and the Hammers decided against making his deal permanent.
Now, Antonio Conte’s side are exploring the possibility of bringing the 28-year-old to Naples for the 2025-26 campaign.
The Scudetto winners are looking to reinforce their roster over the summer transfer window and view Soler as an ideal candidate to strengthen their midfield.
Carlos Soler Transfer News
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli are the favorites to sign Carlos Soler. Marzio also said that the Azzurri have initiated opening discussions about moving to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
PSG consider Soler surplus to requirements. In fact, the newly crowned Champions League winners are looking to move on all of last season’s loanees. Especially Soler owing to his high wages.
They include Randal Kolo Muani, Renato Sanches and Milan Skriniar. Soler joins that trio but there is also reported interest from LaLiga side Villarreal.
TheWestHamZone suggests that the Parisians have already offered Soler to the Yellow Submarine. However, with Antonio Conte set to stay at Napoli, the Spaniard could be persuaded to play under the legendary Italian head coach.
How Much Would Carlos Soler Cost Napoli?
Carlos Soler would likely cost Napoli around €20million. That was approximately the fee West Ham were quoted when they mulled over making his loan move permanent.
According to Transfermarket, Soler has a value of €18m so it would be unlikely that PSG would demand more than the aforementioned €20m.
With Soler seemingly not included in Luis Enrique’s plans at the Parc des Princes, the 28-year-old could be tempted by a move to the Italian champions.
Especially if Antonio Conte’s side complete the free signing of Kevin De Bruyne. The Belgian superstar will leave Man City after 10 years in England.

Carlos Soler 2024-25 Stats
The Carlos Soler 2024-25 stats leave a lot to be desired. Soler had plenty of minutes to his name but he struggled to nail down a regular spot at the London Stadium.
The Spaniard only scored one Premier League goal all season. That solitary strike came in the 3-2 home win over Fulham in January. His only assist came against Arsenal in the 5-2 thrashing in November.
Soler may have had a fairly underwhelming campaign but Antonio Conte could be the man to get the best out of the 28-year-old. Whilst at Valencia, Soler scored 22 LaLiga goals across the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons.
His goalscoring exploits caught the attentions of PSG who brought him to France in the 2022-23 campaign. Soler once again struggled at the Parc des Princes but Conte and Napoli know there is still a lot Soler can bring to the table.
