How Much Will Napoli And Milan Target Darwin Nunez Cost?

Start

The Darwin Nunez price tag has been revealed amid interest from Serie A giants Napoli and Milan.

Nunez looks likely to leave Liverpool this summer after three years at Anfield. The Uruguayan has struggled on Merseyside with the Reds now set to offload him to the highest bidder.

Nunez arrived in the North West after signing under former head coach Jurgen Klopp. The 25-year-old forward was one of the most feared strikers in Europe after netting 48 goals in 85 outings for Benfica.

However, Nunez was unable to replicate such figures under Klopp and current boss Arne Slot. The Dutchman is now happy to let Nunez go. But only if the price is right.

Darwin Nunez Price Tag

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Darwin Nunez price tag currently stands at €60million. Milan would likely need to raise more funds to secure Nunez’s signature.

That despite the Rossoneri offloading Tijjani Reijnders to Man City for €54.3m on June 11. Max Allegri’s side aren’t in European competition next season so justifying such heavy outlays may be a problem.

Last week, Napoli edged closer to a deal for Lorenzo Lucca. The Azzurri international has reportedly agreed to join the Serie A winners but that hasn’t quashed Antonio Conte’s pursuit of Nunez.

Conte’s men will be splashing the cash this summer and they are expected to generate extra funds by selling Victor Osimhen. Therefore, affording the Uruguayan won’t be an issue.

How Much Did Liverpool Pay For Darwin Nunez?

In the summer of 2022, Liverpool paid a €75m fee for Darwin Nunez. There was a further €25m to be paid in add-ons and match-related bonuses.

That deal made Nunez the biggest signing in the Reds history. Surpassing the €85m the Merseysiders parted with for Virgil Van Dijk in the winter transfer window of 2018.

Unfortunately for Nunez, he has been unable to justify his vast fee. Even though his goals and stats aren’t the worst, he has missed a number of easy chances in big games.

That has seen Arne Slot not risk Nunez as frequently as he would have hoped when the important English Premier League and European fixtures came about.

Will Darwin Nunez Transfer To Napoli Or Milan?

The best betting apps remain confident that Darwin Nunez will leave Liverpool this summer. Even though his stock has fallen, Nunez still has a line of suitors vying for his signature.

Napoli and Milan are both in the running for the 25-year-old forward but the Azzurri perhaps hold the edge. Affording the €60m wouldn’t be an issue plus Antonio Conte’s side can offer UCL soccer.

With Belgian superstar Kevin De Bruyne onboard alongside the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Serie A MVP Scott McTominay, moving to Naples would be a hugely attractive proposition.

Milan would likely afford Nunez more game time and he even wore the Rossoneri shirt after the UCL clash in 2024-25. Many said he suited the colors but Max Allegri’s side have no European soccer and will need to raise more funds.
