Galatasaray Serie A Transfer Strategy Takes Shape

Galatasaray are planning to hit back at Fenerbahçe in the transfer market. To do this, it’s got its eye on two stars from Serie A.

Abdullah Kavukçu, Gala’s vice president, is going to be spending the next few hours in Italy, as the Turkish club is scouting out a few players for the January transfer market.

The midfield is the area getting the most attention. There’s a lot of talk about Milan’s interest in Youssouf Fofana, their midfielder, with Gala making several enquiries between August and December without success.

Frattesi and Koopmeiners on Galatasaray Radar

Things are moving fast in this story. Galatasaray has already made waves in early 2026 with its negotiations for Davide Frattesi, and Juventus’ Teun Koopmeiners is also on the list of players of interest for the Turkish club’s midfield.

Another tricky negotiation: it won’t be easy to convince the player and the club, which has the Dutchman on its books for a sum close to £35 million.

The Turkish transfer market is definitely worth keeping an eye on. There’s a lot of activity and money around.

It’s no coincidence that Fenerbahçe just won the Super Cup derby against Gala with a goal from a new signing: Matteo Guendouzi was bought from Lazio for about £30 million.

Lazio Cancellieri Brentford Offer Changes Plans

Lazio have added Ratkov and Taylor after losing Castellanos and Guendouzi, and now they’re about to say goodbye to Matteo Cancellieri.

So, sources in England are saying that the next move could be another transfer. Brentford has decided to go for Matteo Cancellieri and has already made an offer of £15 million for him.

We’ll have to wait and see how Lazio react, as they’ve set a £15 million price tag for the player. The English club’s offer is definitely one to think about.

This season, the winger has played a total of 14 games, including the Coppa Italia, scoring three goals. If the transfer goes ahead, Lazio will clearly have to go back to the transfer market to find a replacement.

The hottest name seems to be Daniel Maldini, a player leaving Atalanta, especially after the imminent arrival of Giacomo Raspadori.
