Inter Close In on Parma’s Ange-Yoan Bonny in Swap Deal Involving Sebastiano Esposito

Start

Inter are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Parma’s Ange-Yoan Bonny, as talks intensify between the two clubs over a player-plus-cash agreement.

The 21-year-old French striker impressed in his debut Serie A season, netting six goals and providing four assists across 37 matches.

His performances have caught the attention of several clubs, but it’s Inter who have moved fastest, with the deal now reportedly in its final stages.

Bonny’s move could be finalized for a total of €20–25 million, but crucially, Inter plans to offset part of that fee with striker Sebastiano Esposito, who spent last season on loan at Empoli.

Possible Inter-Parma Swap Deal

Sources confirm that Parma has approved Esposito as part of the swap deal. The 22-year-old scored eight goals in 33 Serie A appearances for Empoli last season and also featured for Inter in the 2025 Club World Cup opener against Monterrey.

Both Bonny and Esposito are familiar with Inter coach Cristian Chivu, who previously worked with them during their youth careers.

Bonny, in particular, enjoyed a strong second half of the 2024–25 season under Chivu’s former Parma side, making him an attractive long-term option for the Nerazzurri attack.

Inter had initially offered €14 million, but Parma’s valuation has remained firm. A compromise is expected, with the rest of the fee accounted for by Esposito’s inclusion.

What Inter President Beppe Marotta Said About Bonny

Inter president Beppe Marotta confirmed the club’s interest in Bonny during an interview with DAZN, stating, “Bonny is an excellent player; he’s among those on the list, but he is a Parma player.”

That cautious but telling endorsement reinforces reports that Bonny is high on Inter’s shortlist for a new center-forward this summer.

How Much Will Inter Pay for Bonny?

While Parma are asking for €25 million, Inter’s goal is to close the deal around €20 million, ideally through the inclusion of a player.

Beyond Esposito, Inter have also considered using Valentin Carboni to sweeten the deal, though talks are currently focused on Esposito as the most likely counterpart.

The Nerazzurri are in no rush, but both clubs are expected to reach a formal agreement soon, especially as Parma looks to capitalize on Bonny’s rising market value.

This summer has already seen major moves across Serie A, and this Bonny-Esposito swap is just the latest.

What Does Bonny Bring to Inter’s Attack?

Bonny’s addition would continue Inter’s shift toward younger, dynamic attacking profiles.

After already being linked with several forwards in the current market, including Manchester United’s Rasmus Højlund, Inter appear committed to building for the future under Chivu.

Bonny’s physicality, work rate, and ability to stretch defenses could make him an ideal foil for Lautaro Martinez or Marcus Thuram next season.

For Parma, losing Bonny would be a blow, but they have already begun planning for life without him. It’s also a sign of the club’s continued evolution under new head coach Carlos Cuesta.
