The latest Inter injury update has confirmed that five players trained separately ahead of the opening Club World Cup clash against Monterrey on Wednesday.
Cristian Chivu’s side will take on the Mexican side at the Rose Bowl in California. It will be the Romanian head coach’s first game in charge since replacing Simone Inzaghi on June 9.
Inzaghi left to take over Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal. His last game for the Nerazzurri was the 5-0 Champions League final thrashing by PSG in Munich last month.
Inter Injury Update
Last week, it was reported that new Inter Milan manager Cristian Chivu will be missing four players in the Club World Cup opener vs Monterrey.
Unfortunately for Chivu, that figure has now risen to five. The latest injury update has revealed that defender Yann Bisseck, Hakan Calhanoglu and Piotr Zielinski are all out.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Bisseck will potentially miss all three group games. Calhanoglu is also ruled out as both players are still recovering after being replaced in the UCL final. Zielinski encountered a calf problem before Poland’s clash with Finland.
It’s also expected that Davide Frattesi will be giving extra time to recover after suffering with fatigue. Francesco Pio Esposito is also not fully fit but should feature at some point in the tournament. Meanwhile, Mehdi Taremi is also unavailable as he is unable to leave home country Iran owing to the ongoing conflict with Israel.
Minus Taremi, all five players trained away from the main group on Sunday.
Who Will Inter Play At The Club World Cup?

Cristian Chivu’s side will meet the Mexicans at the Rose Bowl in the Group E opener. Next up for the Serie A giants is a meeting with Japanese club Urawa Reds.
Chivu will then lead his side into battle against Argentine giants River Plate. Both of these games will be contested at the Lumen Field in Seattle.

What Other Serie A Side Is Featuring In The Club World Cup?
Although Bayern and PSG lead the Club World Cup winners market with the best offshore sportsbooks after recording resounding opening day wins, the rest of Europe’s elite will all be aiming to stake their claim.
Inter will fancy their chances and so will Juventus – Italy and Serie A’s other representative. The Old Lady finished their domestic campaign off strongly under head coach Igor Tudor.
The former Croatian star will oversee his side’s efforts against Al Ain, Wydad AC and defending champions Man City in the US over the coming weeks.
