Davide Frattesi is considering a move away from Inter Milan after attracting interest from Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

David Frattesi Nears Fenerbahce Move

The Italian midfielder could be heading out of the San Siro door in 2026, as Cristian Chivu is reportedly unimpressed with Frattesi’s performances this season.

Frattesi joined the Nerazzurri on loan in July 2023 before completing a permanent move a year later – but has made just one league start in Serie A under Chivu.

To make matters worse, Frattesi has watched Inter’s last four league matches from the substitute bench and was handed just 19-minutes during the Nerazzurri’s penalty shoot-out defeat by Bologna in Saudi Arabia.

This lack of playing time has left Frattesi’s future in doubt as Inter prepare for a transfer revolution in 2026 and the 26-year-old has now been targeted by a host of European sides.

One of these interested parties is Fenerbahce, as the Turkish side are reportedly preparing a huge €40million offer for the Italian midfielder.

Inter have valued Frattesi at around €35m, but this fee could rise by at least €10m if Frattesi parts ways with the club in January as opposed to next summer.

Fenerbahce currently sit second in the table, three-points behind Galatasaray and will be able to offer Frattesi European competition.

Juventus, Napoli and Roma are also keeping close tabs on Frattesi ahead of the January window and this growing interest has forced Inter into a search for a suitable replacement.

Inter Milan Prioritize Midfield Signing

Frattesi’s rumored exit has forced Inter Milan into action and Cristian Chivu is reportedly prioritizing a midfield addition during the January transfer window.

The Nerazzurri were said to be monitoring Conor Gallagher’s situation in Spain, as the Englishman looks to force a move away from Atletico Madrid.

Gallagher has been linked with a move to Serie A, with Napoli targeting the Atletico Madrid star and Inter are willing to battle their Italian counterparts.

Alternatively, the Nerazzurri may re-enter the race for Genoa midfielder Morten Frendrup, as the Danish star looks to take the next step in his career.

The 24-year-old has been linked with several Serie A sides and has only increased his chances of a move after starting 14 matches in Italy’s top-flight this season.

Another Englishman that could be available in January is Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, but the 20-year-old appears to favor a move to Napoli.
