Inter Milan Keeping Tabs On Ligue 1 Star Malick Fofana

The latest Inter Milan transfer news has revealed that Malick Fofana has emerged as a top summer target for the Nerazzurri. 

Fofana has been a huge hit at Lyon this season and Cristian Chivu is keeping a watchful eye over the versatile winger. The Inter head coach is reportedly keen to add to his attack and sees the 20-year-old as the perfect fit.

Although still a keen admirer of Ademola Lookman, his failed move to the San Siro means Chivu has turned his attention to Fofana. However, interest in the Belgian international is growing so Chivu will need to move quickly.

The pacey winger has caught the attention of a number of clubs in recent months. According to Inter Live, the Nerazzurri will table a bid in the summer.

It’s understood that an offer of €50-60million will see Lyon enter into negotiations with potential suitors. However that fee could increase if Fofana continues to flourish in 2025-26.

Last season’s UCL runners-up already have the likes of Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram and Ange-Yoan Bonny in their ranks. Nonetheless, Fofana is viewed as an excellent addition and would add a different option up top.

Alongside Inter, English Premier League heavyweights Chelsea are also in the running for Malick Fofana’s signature. The Blues signed wingers Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens in the summer but both have struggled so far at Stamford Bridge.

The likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are also keeping tabs on Fofana. Even LaLiga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are monitoring the Belgium international.

German champions Bayern have also thrown their name into the mix for the young starlet. It’s clear from Inter’s perspective that there will certainly be fierce competition for the highly-rated youngster.

Malick Fofana has already established himself as one of the finest prospects in European soccer since joining Lyon in January 2024.

Fofana excelled at Gent whereby he caught the attention of the French giants. OL forked out €17m for his services and he already has two goals from seven Ligue 1 outings this season.

Overall for Paulo Fonseca’s side, Fofana has scored an impressive 17 times and provided eight assists across 71 appearances in all competitions.
