Ivan Perisic has verbally agreed a move to Inter Milan ahead of scheduled talks between the Nerazzurri and PSV Eindhoven.

Speculation between Inter and Perisic has been going on for a few weeks and things are intensifying between the two parties.

Nicolo Schira reiterated that Perisic has already “given his availability” to return to Inter in the January transfer window.

The next step is for Inter and PSV to engage in direct talks over a six-month loan switch for the Croatia wing-back.

Ivan Perisic to Inter: Nerazzurri to enter PSV talks on Thursday

Ivan Perisic is an Inter legend, having made 254 appearances for the Nerazzurri and winning three trophies.

The 36-year-old has been at PSV since 2024, but it looks as though he’s ready to re-join his former club.

Nicolo Schira has claimed on X that direct talks between Inter and PSV are expected to take place on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia have reported that Inter must wait until PSV find out their UEFA Champions League fate.

Peter Bosz’s side take on German giants Bayern Munich in a must-win final-day clash on Wednesday.

Anything other than three points would likely spell the end of PSV’s European journey this season.

The Dutch giants could change their mind on Perisic if they fail to reach the Champions League knockout stages.

Ivan Perisic: Why Inter are eyeing sensational return for Croatian legend

Ivan Perisic is in the twilight of his career, but he still has so much to offer Inter.

Cristian Chivu and the Nerazzurri are on board in wake of Denzel Dumfries’ injury.

The Dutchman is not expected back until February and will need time to regain match sharpness after returning.

Inter are reluctant to throw a youngster into a difficult situation, which is why Perisic is seen as an ideal short-term solution.

Luis Henrique has struggled at Inter, leading to him being linked with a move to English side Bournemouth.

Inter want a tactically versatile player who can help build attacks, track runners and offer defensive cover when the system shifts.

Perisic would tick those boxes, even if his age means Inter must manage his minutes carefully.
