Jean-Philippe Mateta will not join Milan after medical concerns end talks, closing a month-long Serie A transfer saga.

It’s over.
Jean-Philippe Mateta will not become a AC Milan player. At least, not for now.
This brings to an end the saga that has been going on for more than a month between the French striker and Serie A.
The news broke a few minutes ago and the reason is due to the French striker’s physical condition.
After conducting medical tests on several occasions between yesterday and today, the Rossoneri club decided to break off negotiations and not proceed with the deal.
Medical concerns end €30m Mateta talks
It remains to be seen whether the club based in Via Aldo Rossi will make a last-minute attempt to sign another striker or leave things as they are, given that the winter transfer window is about to close.
In addition to this, it remains to be seen what Juventus’ position will be, as they could return to the fray with Crystal Palace.
In that case, it would only be for a loan until the end of the season.
Palace is unlikely to accept this given that the negotiations for Strand Larsen have not yet been concluded.
Milan wanted to understand how many medical risks there were and proceed with the payment of €30 million plus various bonuses.
At this point, the only option for the Frenchman was Milan.
Juve was also aware of this medical issue and potential knee problem, but Juve would have taken him on loan while Milan would have bought him outright.
According to Juventus former star, Michele Padovano, the signing of Mateta would have been excellent for any team.
What happens next for Milan and Juventus
At least Milan can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Santi Gimenez is on the road to recovery.
Massimiliano Allegri will soon have a center forward who can fill the role well.
A little longer wait for Fullkrug, while Rafa Leao and Pulisic also seem to be close to returning.
Magnus Dalpiaz, a right-back and center-back born in 2007, has just arrived at Casa Milan from Bayern Munich.
He will sign his new contract with the Rossoneri and be ready for Milan Next Gen.
