How Massimiliano Allegri Could Be Punished After ‘Out Of Control Attack’ On Napoli Coach

AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri will be punished for an incident involving Napoli assistant Gabriele Oriali.
FIGC Inspectors Report ‘Repeated, Personal Insults’
Napoli alleged Allegri “severely insulted” Oriali, Antonio Conte’s right-hand man, during a touchline flare-up.
Milan were dumped out of the Italian Super Cup after a 2-0 defeat in Riyadh last night, and tempers boiled over when the two coaches exchanged words, as shown in a video published by Sportmediaset.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Allegri took exception to Conte shouting “enough” toward the Milan bench late on. The two managers were not seen shaking hands after a stormy end to the semi-final showdown.
Although the referee’s report did not mention the spat in detail, FIGC inspectors are said to have reported Allegri’s ‘repeated and personal’ insults. FIGC prosecutor Giuseppe Chine has already received the document.
Now, Chine will ask the Sports Judge to issue a sanction for poor conduct.
Potential punishments range from a fine to a suspension, although bans are only dished out in serious cases.
As a result, the 58-year-old is likely to escape with a financial penalty, a decision which would likely anger Napoli.
The final decision from the Sports Judge will be released on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Allegri wants Milan to sign Thiago Silva, but the board are unconvinced over a deal for the 41-year-old.

Napoli’s Full Statement On Bust-Up
In a statement released the morning after the match, Napoli accused Allegri of an “out of control” attack.
“SSC Napoli firmly condemns the behaviour of AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri, who, during the Italian Super Cup semifinal, in the presence of dozens of people pitchside and on live television, repeatedly and severely insulted Gabriele Oriali with offensive language,” the club said.
“We hope this completely out of control attack does not go unnoticed, especially since, with 33 cameras involved in the event’s production, it is impossible not to witness what happened.”
Napoli ultimately advanced to the Super Cup final after goals from David Neres and Rasmus Hojlund. They will now meet either Inter Milan or Bologna, who play each other in the second semi-final tonight.
