Millwall Reveal Mihailo Ivanovic Price Tag After Initial Parma Bid Rejected

Start

Millwall have confirmed the Mihailo Ivanovic price tag after Parma saw their initial bid rejected by the EFL Championship club.

Ivanovic is very much in demand after his exploits for the south Londoners last season. The 20-year-old has already earned his first senior cap with Serbia.

His rise over the last 12 months has been hugely impressive. Ivanovic is widely considered as one of Europe’s hottest properties and has already earned comparisons with Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Mihailo Ivanovic Price Tag

On Monday, FootItalia reported that Parma had targeted Serbian star Mihailo Ivanovic. The Serie A side had entered into talks with Millwall with the purpose of trying to convince the English side to cash in on their star forward.

Those initial negotiations were followed up with an opening bid of €10million. According to Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, that offer was swiftly rejected.

Marzio reported that the Lions will be looking for a fee of at least €16m. It’s unknown whether Carlos Cuesta’s side will up their bid but the English side will insist it’s met.

Is Mihailo Ivanovic A Replacement For Ange-Yoan Bonny?

Parma has recently sold star man Ange-Yoan Bonny to Serie A rivals Inter. Therefore, the Crociati are expected to dip into the market for a suitable replacement.

Mihailo Ivanovic is viewed as the forward who can take over the reins from Bonny. The Serbian international scored a total of 13 goals in all competitions for Millwall last season.

His early season excursions at the Den saw Ivanovic called up to the national side for the Nations League fixtures in November. The 20-year-old came on as a late sub in the 0-0 draw against Denmark.

Although Ivanovic has only spent one season in England, Parma believe he has shown enough quality that would suit new head coach Carlos Cuesta’s style of play at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

What Other Clubs Want To Sign Mihailo Ivanovic?

Interest in Mihailo Ivanovic is high. Premier League clubs Everton and Wolves have most recently been linked with the Millwall forward.

Everton are looking to rebuild their roster after losing a number of players already this summer. One of which was Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The forward left upon the expiry of his contract so the Toffees are targeting a number of replacements. The same applies for Wolves.

The Old Gold lost star man Matheus Cunha to Man United in June and have so far failed to fill the void. Fer Lopez and Jorgen Strand Larsen have transferred to Molineux but head coach Vítor Pereira wants more firepower ahead of the new season.

According to the safest online betting sites, Ivanovic is odds on to leave the Lions before the summer transfer window shuts. However, his likely destination is still to be determined.
