Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be available as a free agent after parting ways with Saudi Arabian side, Al Qadsiah, and AC Milan are reportedly interested in the 36-year-old.

Are AC Milan Interested In Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang?

The Gabonese striker has decided to move on from Al Qadsiah, spending less than a year with the Saudi Arabian side and contributing to 24 goals in 36 appearances (21G +3A).

During his lengthy career, Aubameyang has played for some of the biggest clubs across the globe, donning the jersey at Arsenal, Chelsea, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Marseille.

Aubameyang has established himself as one of the most prolific strikers in the modern era, scoring 370 goals in 728 senior appearances – with his prime days coming with Dortmund as he is the eighth highest scorer in club history.

Across these various clubs, the 36-year-old has picked up a host of accolades, winning two DFB Pokal trophies, La Liga, the FA Cup and Coupe de France.

His deal with the Saudi Pro League side was set to expire in June 2026, however, Al Qadsiah are looking to acquire a younger striker this summer and both parties have agreed to terminate the deal a year earlier.

Aubameyang’s entrance into the free agency market has alerted a host of clubs around Europe and AC Milan are reportedly interested in bringing the veteran in as a low-risk back up.

Massimiliano Allegri has taken the reins in Milan and has already involved himself with a Saudi Arabian transfer saga, as Theo Hernandez became one of the highest paid defenders in the world with a move to Al Hilal.

The Rossoneri have already dived into the free agent market this summer, signing Luka Modric after the Croatian decided to leave Real Madrid after 13 seasons in Spain.

Has Aubameyang Played In Serie A?

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has played in the Premier League, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and La Liga, but the Gabon international has never played in Italy’s top division.

However, the former Chelsea star was on the books at AC Milan between 2008-2012 and made 37 appearances for Milan’s U19 side – scoring 15 goals.

AC Milan decided that Aubameyang was not ready for the first-team and the Italian side eventually sold the striker to Saint Etienne in January 2012.

His family also have ties with the Serie A side, as both of Aubameyang’s half brothers have made an appearance for Milan. Catilina Aubameyang played in a 4-2 win over Piacenza during the 2002-03 Serie A campaign, while Willy Aubameyang featured in a Coppa Italia clash in 2007.

Aubameyang enjoyed multiple spells in France, scoring 58 goals in 154 Ligue 1 appearances, his time in Germany saw the striker score 98 goals in 144 Bundesliga appearances and the Gabonese star scored 69 goals in 143 Premier League matches.

His time in La Liga was short but sweet, scoring 11 goals in 18 appearances for Barcelona in Spain’s top division and this leaves Aubameyang with the Serie A to complete the set.

The Rossoneri are huge outsiders to win the league title next season on Serie A betting sites and could be tempted to bring a player that guarantees goals.

Allegri is looking to lose Alvaro Morata and possibly even Santiago Gimenez, meaning a new striker could be top of the priority list this summer.
